What it is

Charmlings is a full creature-collecting RPG that runs inside Discord. One hundred original creatures — each with its own art, evolutions and moves — are scattered across nine zones, from the soft hills of Dapplemeadow up to Wispcrown Summit. You catch them the classic way: wear one down in a turn-based battle, then offer a Sphere and hold your breath.

The overworld is a voxel world you actually walk — tall grass that rustles, wandering villagers, treasure chests, water you can stand beside — and every zone ends with a Keeper who holds a Crest. Nine Crests and the story closes.

How to play

Open Discord and pick Charmlings from the activity launcher — or use the launch button on this page.
Name yourself, choose a look, and pick your first Charm: a leafy Sprigling, a fire fox Kindlit, or a river otter Dribblet.
Walk into the tall grass to meet wild Charms. Fight to weaken, then throw a Sphere to catch.
Beat the trainers on each map, then challenge the zone's Keeper to win its Crest and open the road onward.
Find the hidden festival stall on every map for a mini-game and a daily prize — and battle a friend 1v1 straight from the channel.

What makes it different

It is a real RPG, not a minigame. Nine zones, a hundred creatures, evolutions, held keepsakes, type matchups, an endless Lantern Ring ladder and a written story with an ending — the kind of scope that usually needs a download.

Discord is the link cable. Challenging a friend takes one click in the same channel you were already talking in. No codes, no lobbies, no accounts.

Everything is catchable. There is one optional purchase — a Charm Egg that hatches a random Charm — but every single creature in the game can be caught by playing, and nothing you buy makes you stronger in a duel.

Is Charmlings free?

Yes. The whole game is free and runs inside Discord with no download. There is one optional in-app purchase, a $2.99 Charm Egg that hatches a random creature, but every Charm in the game can be caught by playing.

How many creatures are there?

One hundred original Charms, each with its own artwork, type, moves and evolution line, spread across nine zones.

Can I play with friends?

Yes — you can challenge anyone in the same Discord channel to a 1v1 battle with your team, and there are global leaderboards for the Charm Book and the Lantern Ring.
